A 23-year-old South Devon man has been locked up for nearly a year after admitting dangerous driving and weapons offences.

Ty Mayson’s Court Appearance

Ty Mayson, with no fixed address in Paignton, faced Plymouth Magistrates Court on Monday, 9 March. His crimes unfolded across Torquay and Paignton.

Harsh Sentences for Multiple Offences

  • Mayson was handed 28 weeks for dangerous driving.
  • He received a consecutive 22-week sentence for possessing weapons, including an axe and a knife, found in vehicles with him.
  • A six-week sentence for driving while disqualified runs concurrently.

He’s banned from driving for two years plus an additional 14 weeks until he passes an extended re-test.

Interestingly, no extra penalties were imposed for failing to stop for police or driving without insurance.
