A man has been locked up after police caught him dealing drugs right outside flats in Burslem.

Dealer Caught in Broad Daylight

Ilias Damianeas, 38, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, faced Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 12 March. He admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of the Class A drug, and driving without a licence or insurance.

He was handed a 2-year and 11-month prison sentence. On top of that, Damianeas got a three-month driving ban and had his licence endorsed.

Drugs and Cash Seized from Car and Home

Police spotted Damianeas dealing drugs from a Toyota Prius on Federation Road around 11am on 11 September last year. Officers seized both cash and cocaine from the vehicle. Further drugs were found at a property in Burslem.

Police Vow to Stamp Out Drug Supply

“I am pleased that Damianeas has been handed a jail term for his offending after he was spotted dealing drugs in broad daylight last year,” said Superintendent Victoria Downing from the Major and Organised Crime Unit.

“We are determined to crackdown on those involved in the supply of illegal drugs in Staffordshire and will do what we can to protect our communities from harm.”
