A drug dealer has been locked up after police caught him selling cocaine right outside flats in Burslem.

Daylight Drug Dealer Nabbed

Ilias Damianeas, 38, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, faced Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 12 March. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of a Class A drug, and driving without a licence or insurance.

He was slammed with a 2-year, 11-month prison sentence. Plus, he got a three-month driving ban and a licence endorsement.

Cash and Coke Found in Raid

Police caught Damianeas dealing drugs from his Toyota Prius on Federation Road at around 11am on 11 September last year. Officers seized both cash and cocaine from the car. More drugs were discovered at a property in Burslem.

Force Vows to Crush Drug Dealers

“I am pleased that Damianeas has been handed a jail term for his offending after he was spotted dealing drugs in broad daylight last year,” said Superintendent Victoria Downing from the Major and Organised Crime Unit.

“We are determined to crackdown on those involved in the supply of illegal drugs in Staffordshire and will do what we can to protect our communities from harm.”
