“Despite being devastated by the news of Angie’s murder, her family has shown tremendous patience and dignity during this agonising wait for sentencing,” said Detective Chief Inspector Matt Powell. “While nothing can bring Angie back, we hope this sentence helps her loved ones begin to heal.”

“I want to thank the brave witnesses who came forward to support the prosecution, some sharing their own harrowing experiences with Daniel White,” he added.

Tribute to Angie White: Beloved Family Woman Taken Too Soon

Angie’s family released a heartfelt statement:

  • “Angie was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and auntie with a zest for life.”
  • “She was close to completing a Humanities degree, aiming to help others.”
  • “We will miss her silly giggle forever.”
  • “We thank family, friends, the public, and South Wales Police for their unwavering support.”

The family criticised Daniel White’s manipulative behaviour throughout the case. They said he delayed justice with excuses and court no-shows, even skipping his own sentencing. “His cowardice shows he still tries to control and avoid facing the consequences,” the family said.

They urged authorities to review how Daniel White was monitored post-prison and ask how he was allowed to harm Angie. “We need to know how someone so evil was freed to torture and kill her,” they demanded.
