Rapist Ryan Page Caught Using Aliases Online

Ryan Page, 38, was originally jailed for raping a woman in 2008, receiving nearly seven years behind bars. Upon release, he faced tough restrictions on internet use as part of his supervision.

But in 2023, police discovered Page had been hiding behind fake profiles—using names like ‘Jim White’ and ‘Ryan Wenham’ on Snapchat, and ‘Ryan Chantilly’ on Facebook. These blatant breaches of his sex offender notification requirements triggered a police hunt.

Hunted Down at Folkestone Hotel, Then Somerset

Page was first arrested in November 2024 at a hotel in Folkestone. Despite facing four charges for failing to comply with sex offender rules, he pleaded not guilty and skipped his trial in October 2025. Found guilty in his absence, a warrant was issued.

He was finally tracked down in Somerset on 9 March 2026 and sentenced the very next day at Maidstone Crown Court.

Police Warn of Ongoing Threat

“Page showed a complete disregard for these restrictions when he used false names whilst accessing the internet,” said police investigator Natalie Armstrong. “We have officers regularly checking offenders and swiftly bringing any transgressors back to court.”

“Page continues to pose a potential threat to vulnerable victims and is now starting a prison sentence as a result.”
