A registered sex offender from West Kent has been jailed for breaking strict internet rules by using fake names on social media.
Rapist Ryan Page Exposed Using Fake Profiles Online
Ryan Page, 38, was originally locked up for raping a woman in 2008, serving nearly seven years behind bars. After his release, he faced tough internet restrictions under his supervision.
But in 2023, cops caught Page hiding behind fake accounts — using names like ‘Jim White’ and ‘Ryan Wenham’ on Snapchat, and ‘Ryan Chantilly’ on Facebook. These blatant breaches of his sex offender notification conditions sparked a police manhunt.
Tracked Down at Folkestone Hotel, Nabbed in Somerset
Page was first arrested in November 2024 at a Folkestone hotel. Though charged with four counts of breaching sex offender rules, he pleaded not guilty and then skipped his October 2025 trial.
Found guilty in his absence, a warrant was issued. He was finally found in Somerset on 9 March 2026 and sentenced the very next day at Maidstone Crown Court.
Police Warn Public: Page Remains Dangerous
“Page showed a complete disregard for these restrictions when he used false names whilst accessing the internet,” said investigator Natalie Armstrong. “We have officers regularly monitoring offenders and swiftly bringing any transgressors back to court.”
“Page continues to pose a potential threat to vulnerable victims and is now starting a prison sentence as a result.”
