More than £12,000 snatched from a convicted drug dealer in Epsom will be pumped straight back into fighting crime.
Dealer Jordan Griffith Locked Up
Jordan Griffith, 30, from Sutton, was jailed for 14 months at Guildford Magistrates Court on March 11. Caught red-handed, Griffith was slapped with a £12,380 cash forfeiture under the Proceeds of Crime Act, plus a £156 fine.
Cash Fueling Fight Against Crime
The seized money won’t just sit in a vault. Thanks to the Asset Recovery Incentivisation Scheme (ARIS), it’ll fund policing gear, criminal probes, and victim compensation.

said Sergeant Adam Staplehurst from the Epsom & Ewell Safer Neighbourhood Team.
How Griffith Got Busted
- October 2021: Officers on patrol spot a car idling suspiciously on Gately Avenue, Epsom.
- They notice a strong whiff of cannabis and detain the passenger.
- Griffith bolts in the vehicle but is chased and caught by cops.
- Search uncovers ‘smell-proof’ bags filled with cannabis and thousands in cash.
- A warrant at his home reveals more cannabis, phones, SIM cards, drug gear, and over £11,000 hidden in a safe.
The passenger, caught with drugs, received a Community Resolution. Griffith was arrested on suspicion of supplying Class B drugs. The drug dealer’s haul is now set to back the fight against crime across Surrey.
