Half of House Razed in Overnight Blaze
Fire tore through a three-storey mid-terraced house, gutting half of the second floor and damaging part of the roof and ground floor. Around 20 neighbours were evacuated, but miraculously, no injuries were reported.

The Brigade deployed a 32-metre turntable ladder to act as an observation tower. A drone team also provided crucial aerial footage, helping crews assess the damage and coordinate efforts.
Rapid Response Quells Fire by Early Morning
- The Brigade received five emergency calls about the blaze.
- Firefighters were alerted at 00:42 and had the fire under control by 03:52.
- Crews from West Norwood, Norbury, Woodside, Croydon, and Tooting stations responded.
The cause of the devastating fire remains under investigation.
