Rob Schneider Shocks Fans: Calls for US Military Draft at 62

Hollywood star Rob Schneider, 62, has stunned fans by demanding a return to the US military draft amid rising tensions with Iran. Despite never serving himself, Schneider insists every 18-year-old American should face two years of compulsory military service.

‘Unite the Nation’ or Send Kids to War?

The Jewish actor wants all young Americans to undergo “rigorous physical training” either “in-country or overseas” to foster patriotism. Schneider declared:

“Each and every American, at eighteen years of age, must serve two years of military service. They could also choose to serve part of that time overseas or in country in a volunteer capacity. Being a citizen of the United States gives us unparalleled Freedoms and opportunities that are the envy of the world. However, these Freedoms that we cherish do not come without a cost.”

He claims the draft would unite Americans “regardless of race, creed or religion” and help protect the nation’s freedoms.

Backlash Erupts: Fans Slam Schneider for Hypocrisy

Social media erupted with fury as critics accused Schneider of pushing others to face a war draft he dodged. The actor skipped military service while starring in Adam Sandler comedies and has no children who would be forced to serve.

The backlash got so fierce Schneider shut down comments on his X account. Still, he doubled down tweeting:

“FACT CHECKED ✅ Freedom Ain’t Free 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸”

Users blasted him as “too busy filming The Hot Chick to go to Afghanistan after 9/11” but happy to send others overseas now.

US Draft History and Double Standards

The US ended the draft in 1972 during the Vietnam War. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son lives comfortably in Miami, exempt from Israel’s mandatory military service – a sharp contrast to Schneider’s call for American youth to fight abroad.
