A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured after being attacked by two dogs that broke free from their home in Potterne last night.

Police Rush In and Seize Dogs

The terrifying incident happened at around 9.30pm on 9 April, when the dogs escaped from a property on Ryeleaze. Officers from multiple units quickly responded and seized both animals. The injured teen was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, though thankfully, they aren’t expected to be life-changing.

Dog Owner Identified and Under Investigation

Wiltshire Police have identified the owner of the dogs, who will be interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation. The breed of the dogs is still unknown.

Devizes Neighbourhood Inspector Simon Garrett said: “We appreciate how horrendous and distressing this incident must have been for the victim, his family, and those who witnessed it and we are taking it very seriously.” “The two dogs involved have been seized and taken to secure kennels and their owner has been identified.” “Enquiries are ongoing to understand the full circumstances of the incident.
