Kyle Chisholm, 27, from Hilperton, Wiltshire, has been locked up for four years and two months at Swindon Crown Court. He pleaded guilty to stalking a woman and suffocating her in a terrifying ordeal.

Years of Horror: Stalking, Threats, and Violence

Between December 2023 and November 2025, Chisholm relentlessly stalked the victim, known to him. He sent threatening messages, including death threats targeting her, her pets, and her children. He even sabotaged her home security by disconnecting her doorbell camera and damaged her car tyres. On one chilling occasion, he suffocated her with a pillow and threatened to kill her.

Victim’s Haunting Statement

“I have avoided texts from my loved ones, as I don’t like my phone anymore. I hate my phone going off, every time it’s a reminder of what I had to put up with. I spend a big portion of my day thinking about what is going through his mind, for example if he is thinking about me or how obsessed he is with the thought of hurting me again. It consumes my thoughts and it destroys my energy and capacity to want to do anything productive or leave the house.”

Chisholm was also slapped with an indefinite restraining order to keep him away from the victim.

Police Vow Tough Action Against Stalking

Local Crime Investigator Ben Hillier said: “This was a deeply distressing case involving persistent stalking and serious assault, leaving the victim fearing for her safety. The offender’s behaviour was controlling, dangerous and wholly unacceptable.” He added, “I welcome the court’s sentence, which reflects the seriousness of these offences and the significant harm caused. I would also like to commend the victim for her courage in coming forward and supporting the investigation. “Wiltshire Police is committed to tackling stalking and violence against women and girls, and we will continue to take robust action against those who seek to cause harm.”
