An 11-year-old boy has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a police officer during a major fire on Saturday, February 8, in Lancaster. The drama unfolded near a police cordon on 123 confirmed the arrest and a probe is underway. A spokesperson said:

“We were dealing with an ongoing incident when a group of young people began acting in an anti-social manner. One officer was assaulted, and an 11-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with this.”

Police urge anyone with info to call 101 with the incident reference.
