Fatal Stabbing on Bodney Road
A 20-year-old man was tragically stabbed to death on Bodney Road, Hackney, Tuesday evening. Emergency crews rushed to the scene at around 6pm on February 18 after reports of a violent altercation. Despite frantic efforts by the London Ambulance Service, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two Men Arrested for Murder
The Metropolitan Police have arrested two suspects — a 25-year-old and a 23-year-old — on suspicion of murder. Both remain in custody as detectives continue their hunt for answers. A crime scene block remains in place near Hackney Downs Park while forensic teams sift for clues.

Detective Superintendent Vicky Tunstall, leading the probe, offered her sympathies to the victim’s family and called on the public to help.
“Our thoughts are with the young man’s family at this incredibly difficult time. I am grateful to the people of Hackney for their patience while we conduct our enquiries. We know this is a distressing time for residents and they can expect to see an increased police presence in the area.”
“While initial arrests have been made, the investigation is still in its early stages. If anyone has dashcam, doorbell, or phone footage from Bodney Road between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm, please come forward.”
