Avon & Somerset Cop Faces Shocking Child Abuse Charges
PC James Gullis, 28, a serving officer with Avon & Somerset Police, has been charged with multiple serious offences involving indecent images of children. The damning allegations emerged after a National Crime Agency (NCA) probe uncovered troubling evidence.
Five Grim Charges Laid Against PC Gullis
Gullis, based in east Somerset, faces five serious counts, including:
- Three offences for making indecent images of children (Categories A, B, and C)
- Possession of prohibited child images
- Possession of extreme pornographic material
The investigation, launched in December 2023, has rocked both the police force and the local community to its core.
Cop Suspended As Case Unfolds
Following the allegations, PC Gullis was immediately suspended from duty. An Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said:
“We take these allegations extremely seriously. As soon as the officer was identified as a suspect, swift action was taken, and he was suspended from duty. We are fully cooperating with the investigation.”
Gullis Set for Exeter Court Appearance
PC Gullis is due to appear at Exeter Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 19, to answer the charges.
