Man left fighting for life after brutal city centre punch-up

A 26-year-old is in critical condition in hospital after a vicious assault in Nottingham city centre early Saturday morning.

Violent attack sparks major investigation

Police were called to Upper Parliament Street and Trinity Walk at around 3.35am on 5 March following reports a man was punched and knocked to the ground.

A 21-year-old has been charged with grievous bodily harm. Meanwhile, a 17-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent has been bailed as inquiries continue.

Police hunt eleven witnesses caught on camera

Detectives have now released images of eleven more people they urgently want to speak to in connection with the attack.

Detective Inspector Chris Berryman of Nottinghamshire Police said, “It is incredibly important that we speak with these people pictured as soon as possible as we believe they may have vital information that could help us with our investigation.”

“Our thoughts remain with the young man and his family and friend at this really upsetting time and we would like to reassure them we are doing everything we can to piece together what happened.”
