PC Connor Geelan Leads Charge Against Crime in Paddock Wood

Over the past year, PC Connor Geelan has been on the frontline, working closely with residents and local businesses to tackle key issues like women’s safety, shoplifting, and speeding.

Action-Packed Day Targets Trouble Spots

On Friday 3 May, PC Geelan spearheaded a high-impact day of action in Paddock Wood. Joined by officers on foot and bike patrols, they focused on busy areas including Commercial Road, Church Road, and Putlands.

The team visited shops and businesses, ran a town centre questionnaire to gather safety concerns, especially from women and girls, and uncovered fresh intel on suspected shoplifters. PCSOs also assisted with speed checks along Maidstone Road and Warrington Road.

Crime Drops Thanks to Community Policing Efforts

Inspector Chris Mayers said: “Since the start of this year, reported anti-social behaviour in Paddock Wood has fallen compared to the same period in 2023. We want beat officers like PC Geelan to be instrumental in the communities they serve, helping to reduce local crime and concerns. Their work is crucial to keeping the town’s neighbourhoods and shopping areas safe.”

He added: “Our officers and PCSOs will keep patrolling parks, streets, and known trouble spots. We urge residents to report any incidents – it helps us identify persistent problems and target our resources.”
