Man Dies After Early Morning Brawl on Richmond Bridge
Tragic Scene at 4am Fight
Police were called to Richmond Bridge at around 4am on Saturday, 26 November, after reports of a violent altercation. Officers arrived to find a man in his early 30s seriously injured. They performed CPR before paramedics rushed him to hospital. Despite their efforts, the man died later that morning.
Investigation Underway, No Arrests Yet
The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. A post-mortem examination will be scheduled soon, but no arrests have been made so far.
Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin, lead investigator, said: “We believe several people witnessed the incident and some may have captured it on mobile phones. Anyone with information or footage should come forward immediately. My team is determined to provide answers for the deceased man’s family.”
Police Appeal to Witnesses
Chief Superintendent Lis Chapple, lead for Richmond policing, added: “My thoughts are with the victim and his family. We will support the Specialist Crime team fully as they work to uncover what happened. Officers will remain at the scene and in the area to address local concerns and gather information.”
