Parish Councillor Dies After Being Shot Outside His Home Near Andover
Tragic news from Andover as parish councillor James Nash has died in hospital after being shot in the head outside his home in Upper Enham on Wednesday afternoon.

Just after 3pm, Councillor Nash was attacked with a homemade shotgun. The violent assault stunned the quiet village community.
Gunman Named, Dies in Crash
The gunman has been named locally as Alex Sartain. He fled the scene on a motorbike but crashed shortly after and died at the scene. Police are reviewing the collision.
Drug Debt Motive Believed
James Nash, a children’s author and artist as well as a councillor, was airlifted to southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton General Hospital where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.
The attack is believed to be linked to drug debts, according to sources close to the investigation.
