Teen stabbed outside Nando's on Croydon High Street
A stabbing rocked Croydon High Street just after 3pm on Saturday, sparking a major emergency response.
Air Ambulance Scrambles to Scene
The victim, a teenager, was stabbed around 3.20pm outside Nando’s. Bystanders were shocked as London’s air ambulance touched down on the nearby grass at Park Hill Park. Flying doctors rushed to treat the injured teen before he was airlifted to a major trauma centre.
The London Ambulance Service also sent an ambulance and fast response car. “We treated a patient at the scene before taking them to hospital as a priority,” a spokesperson confirmed.
Police Lockdown and Armed Response
Met Police swarmed the area with armed officers moments after the attack. A crime scene remains cordoned off as detectives launch an urgent investigation.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Officers are dealing with a stabbing in the Croydon High St area. A teenager was stabbed around 15:20hrs and taken to hospital. His condition is not life-threatening.”
No arrests have been made so far.

Residents are urged to avoid the scene while police comb the area, covered under a Section 60 stop-and-search order until 6am Sunday covering Fairfield, Broadgreen, Addiscombe West, South Croydon, Parkhill and Whitgift.
