Tragic Death at Glenamaddy Equestrian Centre
A riding club outing turned fatal on Thursday at Glenamaddy Equestrian Centre. Ms Hewitt was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency Services Respond
Emergency teams rushed to the incident, but there was nothing they could do to save Ms Hewitt. A post-mortem was later conducted at Galway University Hospital to determine the cause of death.
Investigation Underway
The Health and Safety Authority sent an investigator to the site the very next day to probe the tragic accident. Authorities are looking into what went wrong during the riding club session.
