Armed Burglars Terrorise Huddersfield Home – Police Hunt Witnesses
Violent Break-In On Newsome Road
Police are urgently seeking witnesses after a terrifying aggravated burglary on Newsome Road, Huddersfield, just after 11pm on Monday, July 10. A gang of three to four men smashed into a property, threatening those inside with weapons, including a baseball bat.
Suspects Flee But Cannabis Factory Discovered
The burglars had fled before officers arrived. However, a search of the property uncovered the remnants of a cannabis factory, raising further questions about the sinister activities taking place.
Injured Victim Found Nearby
Two victims linked to the incident were found later in a nearby empty house. One suffered serious arm injuries and was rushed to hospital. Shockingly, both victims were arrested on drugs charges. Police continue forensic investigations into both the burglary and drug offences at the scene today.
Police Plea For Witnesses
Detective Inspector Matthew Sykes of Kirklees CID said: “We are treating this break-in and assault as a targeted attack. I urge anyone who saw suspects outside the house before or fleeing afterwards to come forward. “If you have footage or any information, please contact Kirklees CID on 101 or online at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat quoting crime number 13230384599.
