Tragic Crash Claims Life of Isle of Wight Biker
A 64-year-old man has died after a horror smash between his Yamaha motorbike and a Ford Transit van on the Isle of Wight.
The fatal collision happened at around 6.40pm on Saturday, 21 May, on Yarmouth Road, Calbourne. Emergency services rushed to the scene but sadly the biker was pronounced dead shortly after.
Police Launch Witness Appeal
Officers are now hunting for anyone who saw the crash or the vehicles beforehand. Sergeant Jamie Barron urged:
“Were you in the area at the time? Did you see either vehicle before the collision? Maybe you have dash-cam footage? Please come forward.”
