Appeal for Witnesses After Pedestrian Hit by Car in Canterbury

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Rheims Way near the Wincheap roundabout in Canterbury.

The incident occurred at around 6 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024. A teenage girl was injured in the collision and taken to the hospital for assessment. Fortunately, her injuries were not life-threatening.

The vehicle involved is reported to have left the scene, and police are actively conducting enquiries to locate it.

Officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the area at the time to come forward.

“If you saw the collision or captured any relevant footage on a dashcam, your information could be crucial in helping us identify the vehicle and understand what happened,” a police spokesperson said.
