Tragic South London Crash Kills 90-Year-Old Pedestrian – Police Launch Witness Appeal
Elderly Man Dies After Collision in Coulsdon
A horrendous crash in south London has claimed the life of a 90-year-old man. The fatal incident happened at the busy junction of Brighton Road and Woodfield Hill in Coulsdon on Friday, September 15.
Emergency services were called at 11.35am. Police, London Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance rushed to the scene where the elderly pedestrian was found with life-threatening injuries. Despite being rushed to hospital, he tragically passed away four days later on Tuesday, September 19.
Van Driver Cooperates – No Arrest Made
The driver of the van involved stayed at the scene and cooperated fully with the police. Importantly, no arrests have been made in connection with the collision.
Police Beg Witnesses to Speak Up
Metropolitan Police detectives are scrambling for more info. They’ve launched a witness appeal, urging anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward immediately.
