Armed police swoop on Croydon brawl but suspects vanish
Chaos erupts on Limpsfield Road
Police were scrambled at 7.59pm to Limpsfield Road, Croydon, after reports of a violent scrap involving a group of males, some believed to be armed. Armed officers rushed to the scene ready for action.
Gang fled before police arrived
Officers found two men who said they’d been attacked by another gang that had already scarpered. Despite a thorough search of the area, the suspects had vanished without a trace.
No injuries and no arrests so far
Miraculously, no one was hurt during the fracas. Police have yet to make any arrests as the hunt for the culprits continues.
