Armed Police Swarm Peckham After Shots Fired on Willbrook Estate

Chaos erupted in Peckham late Friday night as armed officers from the Met Police rushed to the Willbrook Estate following reports of gunfire. Residents claimed a firearm was discharged at a group of people who then fled the scene across the estate.

Multiple Roads and Buildings Locked Down

Police swiftly sealed off several nearby roads, including the entrance to a block of flats on Peckham Hill Street. The area around a bus shelter on Bonar Road, close to where the incident occurred at 11:31pm, remains cordoned off with officers maintaining a heavy presence.

Forensics Scour Scene for Clues

Forensic teams and specialists combed the large crime scene for evidence. Officers are guarding several items of clothing left behind on the pavement, alongside visible marks on the ground thought to be connected to the shooting.

The Met Police have been approached for comment and are investigating the incident.
