Blaze Breaks Out at Birmingham High-Rise

Emergency crews are battling a fire on the top floor of a 16-storey building in Birmingham City Centre. West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service sprang into action just after 4.30pm on Monday, 15 September, responding to reports from Colmore Circus Queensway.

Massive Fire Response Underway

Six fire engines, three brigade response vehicles, and a hydraulic aerial platform are at the scene, tackling the blaze head-on. Colmore Row has been shut down as firefighters work tirelessly during the rush hour chaos.

Building Fully Evacuated, Fire Contained

The disused building was fully evacuated before crews surrounded the fire and made heavy water progress. Officials urge motorists and commuters to steer clear of the area and find alternative routes.
