Firefighters raced to the old Carlton House Hotel on Abingdon Street at 4.26pm on Sunday, September 27, after a fierce blaze erupted in the long-abandoned building. The fire raged for hours before crews finally got it under control, leaving the structure heavily damaged. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the inferno.
Police Release CCTV in Hunt for Suspect
Blackpool Police are now investigating the cause of the fire and have released CCTV images showing a man they want to speak to. A spokesperson said: “Do you recognise the person in the image? We want to speak to him as part of our enquiries into the Carlton House Hotel fire.” Officers believe this individual could hold key information about the incident.
