Morning assault outside Brighton NatWest sparks police probe

This Thursday morning, a tense crime scene unfolded outside the NatWest bank at the bottom of North Street, Brighton.

Injured man rushed to hospital

At 3:15am on February 23, Sussex Police were called to reports of an assault between a man and a woman. Officers found the man with facial injuries. He was rushed to hospital suffering serious, but not life-threatening or life-changing wounds. He remains under medical care.

Woman arrested, investigation underway

A 32-year-old woman was swiftly arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in police custody.

Scenes of Crime Officers (SOCOs) combed the area for evidence, working within a cordon to piece together what happened.

Police urge witnesses to come forward

Sussex Police have urged anyone with information to help the investigation to contact them online or call 101, quoting serial number 113 of 23/02.
