Motorbike Crash Shuts Military Road in Both Directions
Emergency crews rushed to Military Road near Isle of Wight Pearl this afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash involving two motorcycles, a Ford, and a Renault. The smash happened shortly after 12:15pm on Friday, forcing authorities to close the road at Brighstone and Brook Beach.
Serious Injuries Reported
Police from the Joint Armed Response and Road Policing teams are investigating the collision. Paramedics from Isle of Wight Ambulance treated two people at the scene before taking them to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport. One victim sustained serious injuries, while the other suffered minor wounds. Their current conditions remain unknown.
Witnesses Describe Dangerous Riding
Eyewitnesses claim the motorcyclists were racing and overtaking dangerously on blind bends just before the crash. Police have confirmed they will examine these allegations as part of their inquiry.
