Police Dog Sniffs Out Burglary Suspects in Tunbridge Wells

Kent Police, with the help of their trusty canine, have nabbed two men linked to a burglary in Tunbridge Wells.

The Theft

Officers were called at 1.49pm on 14 June 2018 after a purse and its contents were stolen from a business on Longfield Road.

Chase and Capture

Later that day, a police dog handler spotted a suspicious vehicle in Victoria Road, Dartford. When officers asked the driver to stop, he ignored them and sped off to Thames Road, Crayford. The driver then fled on foot, leaving the passenger behind with the car.

Major the Police Dog Tracks the Culprit

Police Dog Major tracked down the fleeing driver. Two men – a 24-year-old from Welling and a 34-year-old from Abbey Wood – were arrested in connection with the burglary.

Both suspects have been released pending further investigations.
