Body Found in East Sussex Woodland Believed to Be Missing Man Marc
Tragedy struck in Maresfield on Saturday night (29 May) when Marc, who had called his family at 11.30pm saying he was heading home, vanished without a trace. He never made it back.
Search Ends in Grim Discovery
Late Tuesday night (1 June), search teams uncovered a body in the woodland near Heron’s Ghyll. While formal ID is pending, authorities sadly believe it to be Marc.
Man Arrested as Police Investigate Murder
A 19-year-old man was arrested in Eastbourne on Tuesday (1 June) on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody while detectives question him.

Detective Chief Inspector Emma Vickers said: “This is an absolutely devastating discovery and our thoughts are with Marc’s family at this difficult time.
“His family are being supported by specially trained officers, and we ask that their privacy is respected.
“This investigation is dynamic and fast-moving. Our officers are working round the clock to uncover the full circumstances.
