Labour MP Suspended Over Bullying Claims
Ex-Shadow Welsh Secretary Stripped of Party Whip
The Labour MP, who has held her seat since 2015, has been suspended from the party whip amid a bullying investigation. Once a shadow Welsh secretary, she will now sit as an independent in the Commons until the probe concludes.
Bullying Allegations Spark Investigation
According to The Guardian, the MP faces claims of bullying her staff. She told the paper, “There has been a complaint made against me to the Labour Party, which is under investigation, and I am therefore under administrative suspension until the process is completed.”
“I am not aware of the specifics of the complaint, but I will fully cooperate with the investigation,” she added. The Labour Party has yet to comment on the case.
