Muswell Hill in Shock as Beloved Church Worker Stabbed
The quiet community of Muswell Hill was rocked on Wednesday evening after a well-known church worker was stabbed outside Saint James’s Church. Neighbours described the victim as a “kind and generous soul,” famed for running a youth club that’s guided over 30 local kids into adulthood.

Emergency crews rushed to St James Lane at 8:04 PM on Wednesday, November 27, following reports of an assault. They found the woman, in her 40s, with stab wounds.
She was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Metropolitan Police swiftly arrested a teenage boy at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He remains in custody as detectives hunt for answers.
Community Left Devastated
Locals expressed shock and sadness at the attack.
“She’s a lovely lady, always putting others first. Her work with the church youth club has made such a difference in our community. It’s devastating to think she’s been hurt like this,” said one neighbour.
“This area is usually so peaceful. It’s hard to believe something like this could happen here,” added another resident.
Police Investigate, Call for Witnesses
Forensic officers have cordoned off the crime scene to gather evidence. A weapon connected to the attack has been recovered. First aid kits and medical gear used during the emergency remain visible at the scene.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said, “We are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident. We urge anyone with information to come forward.”
