Football Fan Robbed After Match in Busy Car Park
Just before midnight on Sunday, 11 July, a 21-year-old man was targeted in the crowded ‘yellow car park’ on Rutherford Way after leaving the stadium. Two men struck up a conversation before one violently held him while the other snatched his watch.
The victim was left shaken but thankfully escaped without serious injury. Police rushed to the scene, but the suspects had already vanished into the night.
Man Arrested as Police Hunt Dashcam Witness
A week later, 24-year-old man was arrested in liverpool/" title="Liverpool" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Liverpool on suspicion of robbery. He’s been bailed to return in mid-August. Meanwhile, detectives are desperate to speak to a key witness.
Someone at the scene reportedly caught the theft on dashcam but drove off without leaving details. Officers want this person and anyone else with footage or witness accounts to come forward immediately.
