Hit-and-Run Horror on Duke Street: Man Injured as Van Crashes and Flees

At around 2.30pm on Wednesday, 30 November, chaos erupted on Duke Street when a man in his 20s was hit by a white van. The driver didn’t stop, smashing into several parked vehicles as he fled the scene.

Van Dumped on Price Street

Police later found the suspect van abandoned on nearby Price Street. Officers launched a full-scale investigation, scouring CCTV footage to catch the culprit.

Police Hunt Man Tied to Incident

Detectives have now released an image of a man they believe could crack the case. Detective Inspector Katie Coote warned:

“This was extremely reckless and could have resulted in more serious injuries. We think the man pictured may have vital information to help our enquiries. If you know him, please come forward.”

She added: “If this image rings any bells or reminds you of suspicious activity around 2.30pm on 30 November on Duke Street, contact us immediately.”
