Man Left Fighting for Life After Brutal Assault on Old Kent Road
Detectives have released images of two men they want to question over a savage attack that has left a man in critical condition.
Attack on Old Kent Road
Police were called around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 16 June, to reports of an assault near the junction of Old Kent Road and Trafalgar Avenue, SE1.
A man in his 50s was found with serious head injuries and rushed to a south London hospital, where he remains critically ill but stable.
Victim Possibly Involved in Shop Dispute
Officers believe the victim had a run-in with two men in a nearby shop just before the attack.
Authorities have issued images of these suspects and are urging the public to come forward if they recognise them.
Police Descriptions and Appeal
- One suspect: Black male, wearing a white top and ripped light denim jeans.
- Second suspect: Black male, dressed in a black tracksuit.
Detective Constable Stuart Gates, Central South CID, said: “The victim suffered very serious injuries and remains in critical condition more than a week on. This kind of behaviour is never acceptable and we are doing all we can to find those responsible.”
“Anyone who recognises these individuals should contact police immediately.”
