London police have arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old in North Woolwich.
A 28-year-old man was also snapped up on suspicion of attempted murder in the early hours of Sunday, December 13.
Fatal Stabbing on Woodman Street

The victim’s next of kin have been informed.
Investigation Continues – Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
A 25-year-old man arrested the previous day, December 12, has been released with no further action.
“These arrests are a positive step in our investigation but we are still working to establish exactly what took place on Friday night,” said Detective Chief Inspector Mark Wrigley of the Specialist Crime Command (Homicide).
“There were lots of people in the area at the time and I would appeal for anyone who hasn’t yet come forward, to do so. The senseless killing of a 15-year-old has understandably shocked the community and I would urge them to help us bring those responsible to justice.”
The Met’s Homicide Squad is leading the probe. Witnesses are urged to call the incident room on 0208 345 3715 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
