Driver crashes White Vauxhall into Hythe property – rushed to hospital
A driver lost control of a white Vauxhall and smashed into the front of a building at the busy junction of South Street and St John’s Street in Hythe, New Forest. Emergency services raced to the scene just after 12.30pm on Saturday.
Loud bang stuns local residents
Witnesses reported hearing a huge bang before the rapid arrival of police, fire crews, and paramedics. One officer confirmed Hampshire Police are still at the site, managing the incident.
Driver taken to hospital, road remains closed
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.26pm. The incident involved a single vehicle crashing into a building.”
The driver has been taken to Southampton General Hospital with injuries that don’t appear serious. Meanwhile, the road remains shut as investigations continue.
