During their regular patrols in Seaside, Eastbourne, PCSOs Gowing and Stamp witnessed a male on an electric scooter drive into a parked vehicle, resulting in damage to both the vehicle and the scooter.
Upon speaking to the male, it was evident that he had been drinking. A police officer arrived at the scene and breathalysed the male, who was subsequently arrested for being in charge of a motorised vehicle whilst unfit through drink, operating a motorised vehicle on a road/public place without third-party insurance, and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
