We were called at 12:50pm today to a report someone may have fallen into the River Medway near Bishops Way, Maidstone,” a police spokesperson said. “Officers attended with Kent Fire and Rescue Service and recovered clothing from the scene. Despite initial concerns, we now believe the report of a person entering the water may have been a false alarm.”
