Explosion rocks Eldene! Fire crews from Swindon and Stratton rushed to the scene after reports of a blast in Eldene. They arrived to find a small fire already extinguished.
One casualty suffered burns and was swiftly flown to hospital by Air Ambulance, handed over to South Western Ambulance Service medics.

Swindon Borough Council’s Building Control Officer and a Gas Board engineer were called in to assess the damage. The British Red Cross Victim Support Unit also stepped up to aid those affected.
The investigation is ongoing as emergency teams work to uncover what sparked the explosion.
