Tragic Cycling Crash Claims Life of Beloved Dad Near Barton Stacey
The family of Oliver Gadney, 45, has paid an emotional tribute after he was killed in a collision near Barton Stacey on 15 August.
Horror Crash on Newton Lane
The fatal smash happened around 3.30pm on a quiet stretch known locally as Newton Lane, between Barton Stacey and Newton Stacey. Oliver was riding his bike when he was struck by a Vauxhall Astra.
Despite the arrival of an air ambulance, Oliver sadly died at the scene.
Family Mourns ‘Funny, Kind and Humble’ Man
“He was a beloved father, husband, brother, son, grandson, uncle, nephew and loyal friend who was lost too soon,” the family said.
“He lived life to the full. He was funny, intelligent, kind and humble.
“His legacy lives on in his two girls. He will never be forgotten.”
Woman Arrested Over Fatal Crash
A 21-year-old woman from Hampshire was arrested on suspicion of death by careless driving and driving without a licence or insurance. She has since been released under investigation as police continue their enquiries.
