Jack Field Dies in Horror Collision

Jack Field, 24, from Hailsham, was fatally hit by a car around 11pm on Saturday, 18 November. The crash happened on Diplocks Walk, just off Western Road. Jack died at the scene, shocking the local community.

Suspects Arrested Over Fatal Collision

Police arrested two men in connection with the tragedy—a 32-year-old from Horam and a 26-year-old with no fixed address. Both remain in custody, held on suspicion of murder as the investigation continues.

Family Pays Heartbreaking Tribute

Jack’s family released a touching statement:

“Jack was a loving son, brother and friend.

He was the most selfless, respectful gentleman who would do anything for anyone, always putting others before himself. He was everyone’s best friend, role model and hero.

He will never be replaced and has left a gaping hole in our hearts.

Darling Jack, we love you so much, goodbye for now baby boy.”

Police Plea for Witnesses

Detective Chief Inspector Alex Campbell said: “We are working tirelessly to understand the exact circumstances and provide answers for Jack and his family. Our condolences go out during this extremely difficult time.”

Police are urging anyone who saw the crash or events leading up to it, or who has photos or videos, to come forward. Contact police online or via 101 quoting Operation Novio.
