Man Killed and Woman Hurt in Knife Attack in Luton
A brutal stabbing in Luton’s Sundon Park has left a man dead and a woman hospitalised. The shocking assault happened just before 2am on Saturday morning on Tenth Avenue.
Two Knifemen Open Violence on Victims
Police say two men armed with knives attacked a man and a woman. The man, in his 30s, was found dead at the scene. The woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Her condition remains unknown.
Bedfordshire Police have launched a murder investigation, dubbed Operation Morcote.
Detectives Hunt for Clues in Early Morning Attack
Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins is leading the probe. She sympathised with the local community, saying: “Knife crime has no place in our society. Our thoughts are with the victims’ families.”
Officers have been knocking on doors in the area and urge anyone near Tenth Avenue between 1am and 3am with dash-cam footage to come forward.
