Massive Fire Destroys Wembley Maisonette and Car Workshop

Blazing into the early hours, a ferocious fire ripped through a block of maisonettes on Lyon Park Avenue, Wembley. Firefighters scrambled with ten engines and 70 crew members to tackle the inferno.

Roof and Maisonette Smashed by Flames

Half the roof and a four-roomed maisonette on the first floor suffered serious fire damage. The blaze didn’t stop there — a neighbouring detached single-storey car workshop and three cars were completely destroyed.

Residents Escape, No Injuries Reported

About a dozen residents fled before the fire brigade arrived. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Firefighters stayed on site all night, battling hotspots to prevent flare-ups.

Emergency Services Flooded with Calls

The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers handled 18 urgent calls about the fire, marking it as one of the busiest incidents overnight in Wembley.
