Blaze Breaks Out at Brighton Home: Six Fire Engines Rush to Scene

Emergency crews scrambled to a ferocious fire at a residential property on Canterbury Drive, Brighton, late Saturday night (April 13), East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) confirmed.

Massive Response to Overnight Fire

At the height of the blaze, six fire appliances battled the flames with four hose reel jets. Residents nearby were told to keep doors and windows shut to avoid thick smoke.

Fire Under Control by Early Hours

By around 1:00am, the fire was under control, and crews scaled back to just one appliance on site. All residents were accounted for. One person received treatment at the scene before being handed over to paramedics.

Investigation Ongoing

Sussex Police remain at Canterbury Drive as the investigation continues. The cause of the blaze has not yet been confirmed.
