Heroic Young Man Stabbed to Death Trying to Stop Fight in Hounslow

Dara Sayed Barham, 22, lost his life after stepping in to break up a violent altercation outside a restaurant near the Hounslow Muslim Centre on Hanworth Road.

Tragic Attack in Broad Daylight

The brutal stabbing happened at around 2.21pm on Sunday, 22 June. Dara, who managed a local restaurant and had lived in the area for four years, was trying to mediate between two men when he was fatally stabbed in the torso.

Paramedics rushed to the scene and took him to hospital, but Dara later died from his injuries. His family have been informed.

‘He Was a Hero’ – Friends and Community Mourn

Dara’s close friend, Kavan Soleman, told Metro:

“He was my best friend. He would help anyone and do anything for anyone. The fight was nothing to do with him. He was a perfect citizen, a hero who tried to come between them without worrying about himself.”

Farhan Ali, who runs a nearby mobile phone shop, added:

“He was just a wonderful guy… He recently bought a phone to send pictures to his mum back home. He was the best person—kind, humble, and so peaceful.”

Murder Investigation Underway as Police Hunt Killer

The Metropolitan Police have launched a murder probe led by the Specialist Crime Command. The crime scene remains sealed off, with forensic teams combing the area around Hanworth Road and the High Street.

A police spokesperson said:

“Officers responded alongside paramedics. Despite treatment, the 22-year-old man later died at hospital.”

No Arrests Yet – Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley urged anyone who saw the attack or its aftermath to come forward.

“This happened in a busy part of Hounslow in broad daylight. We need anyone with information, dashcam or phone footage, to help us catch the person responsible.”

Police also made it clear the Hounslow Muslim Centre was not involved and was only nearby when the stabbing occurred.
