Five Arrested Over Spate of Burglaries in Folkestone and Romney Marsh

Kent Police have swooped on a gang linked to a series of business break-ins across Folkestone, Romney Marsh, and surrounding areas.

Seven Break-Ins Spark Investigation

Between Wednesday 27 March and Monday 8 April 2024, officers were called to seven burglaries or attempted break-ins in Folkestone, Hythe, Dymchurch, and St Mary’s Bay. Detectives launched a full probe, quickly zeroing in on a suspicious vehicle.

Police Arrest Five Suspects in Romney Marsh

On the evening of Wednesday 10 April, the vehicle was spotted and stopped in Romney Marsh. Five men, aged 18 to 70, were arrested on suspicion of burglary. Police have seized items believed to be stolen. The suspects remain in custody as the investigation ramps up.
