Hero Flower Seller Tony Stabbed to Death After Daylight Mugging Intervention

Local Man Attacked While Trying to Help

Tony, a well-known flower seller in the area, was stabbed fatally after stepping in to stop a mugging in broad daylight. The shocking attack happened on Essex Road, N1, at 5.25pm on Saturday, 29 May.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

Police arrived swiftly to find Tony suffering from a stab wound. Despite immediate first aid from officers and paramedics, Tony, believed to be in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene just 33 minutes later at 5.58pm.

Investigation Underway – No Arrests Yet

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command have launched an investigation. The crime scene remains sealed off as inquiries continue. Formal identification and a post-mortem are pending.
