Two Police Cars Crash on Blue Lights in Tuebrook

Merseyside Police have revealed that two response vehicles collided in Tuebrook while rushing to separate emergencies. Both were on blue light duty at the time.

Four Officers Hurt, Two Released

The North West Ambulance Service rushed two male and two female officers to hospital. Thankfully, two of the injured officers have already been discharged.

It’s understood no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Investigation Underway—Police Seek Witnesses

Sergeant Steve Smith of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:

“We are investigating the collision, and CCTV and witness inquiries are ongoing. I want to hear from anyone who was driving along West Derby Road in the early hours and saw what happened or can help with our investigation.”

Road closures remain in place on West Derby Road today as police carry out their inquiries. Officials have thanked the public for their patience during the disruption.
